SUNDAY, BLOODY SUNDAY

Sunday, bloody Sunday
See her glittering skin like porcelain clay
Look at her waist-length golden tresses
Followed by every eye as she passes
Her face, the glory of creation
Her eyes were one hell of an explanation
Watch as her enchanting lips part
Watch as she captivates your heart
Her slender body moves in a graceful stride,
Her voice sounds like sweet music to the ears
Her countenance glows in a mask of pride
Her song rings out like music of the spheres.
Sunday, bloody Sunday
Silence was the response when she prayed
Nobody knows how she goes
As she's being pushed to and fro
Or how she often feels like breaking apart
While watching her family being torn apart
She would give anything to alter this reality
Everything just to make true this impossibility
Her past, something she can never forsake
Although condemned for condemnation's sake.
Nobody hears her stifled cries
Nobody's there to wipe the tears from her eyes
She longs to end the sleepless nights
But she's holding on to the heartaches tonight
Sunday, bloody Sunday
She smiled victoriously as she got her way
She didn't know it was most unwise
When she decided to pay the price
Addicted to pain like it was morphine
Holding on to her sanity wearing thin
Her actions were the very contradiction
To what she swore to be pure conviction
Now she's struggling to keep herself sane
As the poison crawls through her veins
It was a Sunday, a bloody Sunday
When every drop of the venom washed an ounce of the pain away
Now, neither you nor I can do anything for her
All her life slowly fades in a blur
As she waltz back in her dreams,
Absolution and rest her soul screams.
Look at her silently bleeding as she lay,
On that fateful bloody Sunday
